Terms and Conditions

Turansa guarantees that all services described in the quotation will be provided according to description. We do however, reserve the right to modify the itinerary taking care of providing clients with the best available conditions. We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by major force or any cause beyond our control such as natural events.

Turansa is not responsible for accidents enroute, sickness, robbery or illness, etc. We strongly recommend you to buy travel insurance. Any disputes will be handled according to the laws governing the Republic of Guatemala. Prices, fares and rates may be subject to changes. Please do not leave any belongings on any tour vehicle, while you are not on board. We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. We recommend purchasing travel insurance.

AIG Travel Guard

Rates do not Include:

Meals, except when specified; tips to driver, tour guides, bellboys, waiters and chambermaids. Also excluded are departure taxes and expenses of personal nature such as: laundry, liquor, soft drinks, telephone calls, etc. International airport exit tax ($30.00 per person). Domestic airport tax (Q.20.00 per person).

Children rates:

Applicable only to children 4 to 12 years of age. Children under 4 years of age stay free (max 2 kids, 2 adults). Applies ONLY to EP accommodations. Meal Charges are applicable for all FAP programs.

Refunds:

Cancellations received within 15 days prior to date of travel will be subject to a handling fee of US$ 25.00 per person. A penalty of 50% will be applied to any cancellation made between 8 and 14 days from the date of travel. No refund will be made for cancellations received within 7 days from date of travel.

Reservations:

All reservations will be replied by fax or e-mail in a 24-working hour period. If you made a reservation that has been confirmed by our travel agent, please proceed to make your payment in order to guarantee your reservation.

Reservation Guarantee:

If you want to pay directly to the bus conductor in order to confirm and guarantee your reservation, please fill out the following form. We require credit cards so we may guarantee the services and availability. We cannot complete a reservation without this information.

Reservation Guarantee Form (SSL)

Remember this form is to be filled only for services that do not require Prepaid Policies (Hotels or other Prepaid Services). In this case our sales representatives will advise you if your reservation request must be prepaid (In forms of Payment) or paid upon arrival.

After you have completed the form and your information (to include your credit card) comes to our staff (via a secure server SSL) we will send you a confirmation E-mail with a confirmation number.

Other Payment Options:

Payment for packages and arrangements occurs only once the Itinerary or service quote has been finalised and after you have read the Terms and Conditions, agreed upon and accepted.

Credit Card:
If your payment is made by credit card, a 5% processing fee will be added to your bill. Your card will be charged upon your arrival in local currency at the applicable exchange rate of the transaction date.

Upon Arrival our representative will give you a copy of your credit card voucher. Please take note that we need the card holders signature in order to give your Travel Documents. (We cannot charge you without the signature). Please send us your Credit Card information via Fax, Phone or E-mail so we can proceed to make your vouchers:

Sending a Check:
You may send a personal check in US Dollars, please pay to the order of "TURANSA" for the total amount of the services purchased and send it to the following address:

This option applies only for payments made 30 days prior to the reservation date. We will get back to you as soon as we receive your payment (Until Check is liberated).

Bank Transfer:
It can be made when you have agreed with our travel agent the total amount to be paid. Note that by using this option you are responsible for any bank fees relating to the bank transference. Give the following information to your bank to proceed with your payment:
